The HFTP Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s 28th Annual Swinging for Scholars Golf Outing is quickly approaching. This year’s event will take place once again at the magnificent French Creek Golf Club on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

In the past thirteen years, the tournament has raised over $100,000. These proceeds directly benefited the scholarship fund, which awards scholarships to deserving college students from Penn State, Temple and University of Delaware, majoring in Hospitality Management, Finance or Technology. Our continued success can only be realized with your help and support!

On behalf of HFTP, we are asking you to assist us in opening the doors of education for the future of deserving students. We welcome golfers of all playing levels to come out for a fun afternoon to help ensure a bright future for the hospitality industry. Please consider sponsoring a hole or donating a prize for our silent auction or raffle. Sponsorship opportunities are listed on the here the Registration Form.

Possible prize donations include rounds of golf, sportswear, gift certificates (particularly brunches or dinners), tickets to sports or cultural events, or anything you can donate that will also promote your property or business!

If you would like to secure your space, please respond today! If you cannot join us for golf, we encourage you to join us for cocktails and dinner and participate in the silent auction following golf. It’s always a fabulous night where you can reconnect with friends all in support of a great cause!

Since 1995, the Greater Philadelphia chapter has provided scholarship funds to recognize and support local university students studying in related fields such as accounting, business, finance, hospitality, technology or management. Our annual Swinging for Scholars golf outing is an actively and generously supported event by which our chapter raises the funds needed towards this initiative.

Students from Penn State University, The University of Delaware and Temple University have been past beneficiaries, with some recipients having since gone on to successful careers here in the immediate Greater Philadephia chapter region.

The awards are presented annually at a function sponsored by the chapter.
